LO5 Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively
I have been able to learnt that through working with the members in our group, we are able to contribute to each others ideas and all suggestions and opinions made are valid and always taken into consideration. This has showed me how i have to be willing to commit to a long term activity and always be open-minded to other people’s opinions. This activity will help inform CAS activities such as group service (business club) as it will have enabled me to build on the communication and leadership skills needed in both of these areas of CAS.
LO7 Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions
Through this activity, I wanted to have a better understanding as to the situation of the effects of alcohol and other drugs on physical, mental and spiritual health. Through further investigation on Drug ARM Australasia’s website, it has allowed to be realise the extent to which how people in Australia specifically are living after suffering from a drug addiction and becoming homeless.

LO1 Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
I found it was quite difficult as first to gift wrap the presents as i was presented with some odd shapes that i had never wrapped before. I was supposed to wrap a hula hoop and at first i found it quite frustrating as i had no idea where to start and how i was supposed to wrap it with the wrapping paper that did not even go around the whole things. I ended up teaming up with the other gift wrappers and together with our gift-wrapping teacher, she taught us how to wrap circular objects and from that we learnt and followed her instructions by taping 2 large pieces of wrapping paper together, one on the bottom and one on the top and then folding the paper inwards so that it would fit around the circular shapes the hoop. My goal after completing this activity was that i would be more experienced in gift wrapping as well having been able to understand, learn and reciprocate actions that have been taught to me under a short amount of time. I believe that i am now more than capable in wrapping presents in all sorts of shapes ad sizes. I have also been able to be understand and learn the skills taught to me and reciprocate them by to just gift wrapping by myself but also by teaching others how to gift wrap.

By working with others, i have learnt how to work collaboratively as that is the best possible way when trying to do something that you may not be able to achieve on your own. I have also been able to improve my communication skills by talking with the customers that wanted their gifts wrapped and asking for their certain preferences or style in how they wanted their presents wrapped. Using the communication skills as well as the ability to understand, learn and reciprocate under a short amount of time will enable me in future CAS activities to complete certain tasks required with a speedy approach and a thorough understanding of what is to be completed.
